Who May Be Eligible?

You may qualify for the VA Aid & Attendance Benefit if you meet one or more of the following requirements:

  • You are a Veteran who served at least 90 days of active duty.
  • At least one day of your service occurred during a wartime period.
  • You received an honorable discharge.
  • You require assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, toileting, or mobility.
  • You need supervision to remain safe at home.
  • You are a surviving spouse of an eligible Veteran.
